Tercer concurso de proyectos juveniles

CONCURSO DE APOYO A INICIATIVAS DE
JUVENTUD EN AMÉRICA LATINA Y EL CARIBE

Desde el 22 de agosto y hasta al 22 de septiembre de 2008 se encuentra abierto el Tercer Concurso de Iniciativas Juveniles del Programa "Desarrollo Juvenil para la Innovación y la Acción Social" (Fondo de Juventud).
Es un programa de apoyo financiero y técnico para el desarrollo de proyectos juveniles en la región de América Latina y el Caribe, impulsado por el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (a través del programa BID Juventud), por Microsoft (a través del programa Potencial Ilimitado) y por Fundación SES, como agencia ejecutora en toda la región.
El programa apoyará principalmente iniciativas de organizaciones de juventud (formadas por jóvenes o que trabajan para jóvenes) que se orienten al desarrollo productivo/empresarial y al desarrollo comunitario. Estas iniciativas deben incluir como ejes transversales: i) la promoción y el uso de nuevas tecnologías de información y comunicación (TICs) y; ii) actividades que fomenten el desarrollo de capital humano (capacitación para los jóvenes). Los fondos para cada iniciativa oscilan entre U$S 25.000 y U$S 40.000 (dólares).

CALL FOR PROPOSALS FROM YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS
IN LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

From August 22 to September 22 2008 the Youth Development Program for Innovation and Social Action (Youth Fund) will open its third call for youth initiatives.
The Program consists in technical and financial support for youth development initiatives in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region (LAC). It is promoted by the Inter American Development Bank (through IADB Youth Program), Microsoft (through Unlimited Potential Program for Latin America) and Fundación SES, as executing agency for the LAC Region.
The program will mainly support youth organizations (that are constituted by young people or working for young people) that promote initiatives to expand the economic (entrepeneurship) or social development options for the youth and their communities. This initiatives must include i) use and promotion of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and; ii) activities that encourage human capital development of youth (training). The amount for each iniciative ranges from U$S 25.000 to U$S 40.000 (US dollar).
